PocketStrainer started with a problem our founder knows firsthand. He's a motorsport engineer — a career spent at the track designing and refining parts that can't be allowed to fail under punishing conditions — and a kidney stone patient himself. When he was handed the standard urine collection strainer, he saw the problem the way an engineer does: bulky, flimsy, clinical, and impossible to carry without announcing your diagnosis to the whole room.

So he engineered something better, the way race parts get engineered — obsessing over materials and tolerances. PocketStrainer pairs a BPA-free medical-grade silicone funnel with 316 stainless steel mesh (the corrosion-resistant grade most strainers skip), folds flat to 3/8 inch, and is made in an FDA-registered facility, so patients and providers can trust what they are using.
